Wait, nevermind, they relegated women to a single class (alchemists) in a single faction. That's both bizarre and kind of douchey and pointless... kind of lost interest on finding that out.

I'm a huge fan of the Nosgoth setting, but I'm not feeling this one as a PC game. I'd dig it as a F2P PS 4 game though, like how they're porting Warframe over.
I had a sneaking suspicion that Eidos(now 'Square Enix') were going to resurrect this IP. Someone from Crystal Dynamics hinted the setting was 'not dead' about a year ago and Eidos have been looking for developers to pitch ideas for their Old IPs (including a controversial crowdfunding initiative), i suppose this is the first fruit of that endeavor.
Not only are Crystal Dynamics not actively involved but the game appears to be a janky looking multiplayer only game. It looks like that 'Gotham City Imposters', which was a game i was very surprised gathered a modest following, 'cos it looked crap. I know i'm already writing it off but this is just wrongheaded from the outset.

The biggest problem with the game going back to single player isn't the lack of Crystal Dynamics involvment, it's the lack of Amy Hennigs involvment, who is now quite comfortable at Naughty Dog working on Uncharted.
Look at the original set of games, the weakest was the game without her involvment. Any team can make a combat/platformer - even Blood Omen 2 wasn't a bad game, gameplay wise. But it lacked in the story department, and it's no coincidence that it's the only game with no involvment from Amy.
As a huge, huge fan of the Legacy of Kain series and its awesome writing and storyline, and turning it into the ultra generic lore-breaking free to play semi FPS that is all too popular, my reaction to it is:

Well, look at it this way, the vampires have begun the process of mutating into degenerate monsters, for all you know they are all female - gender is pretty irrelevant when you are all going to end up looking like this anyways.

I'd wager because the jackholes responsible for this piece of crap didn't even bother to look at the other games in the series.

Nah, it even mentions it on their website. It's most likely because the flying mechanic thing is cool so they shoehorned it in regardless of whether it makes sense.

I think that might be the reason WHY they did it, considering how convuluted the storyline is by now.
Not to mention several of the better voice actors are kinda dead..

There's plenty of examples of feminine monsters in video game history. Hell, just look at Shadow Hearts.

Couldn't we just get a reboot, new story line. Perhaps just involving Raziel taking Kain down. No time travel, no time controlling tentacle monsters. Just a Gothic vampire fest. Creeping through dead cities, or live human ones.
F2P online is becoming the new MMO. Just make single player games you feths!
Calming music.
For the record there are some good F2P games out there, I just don't like the idea of established franchises being used.
Why reboot? Why are people so freaking afraid of a storyline that is more complex than "BAD MAN GO KILL". LoK's storyline was twisted and mindbending as hell, and you needed multiple playthroughs to understand it; and that is exactly why it was great.
Rather than a reboot, I'd like some alternate timeline stories.

That's really not an issue with most voice actors. It's 30 years later and Peter Cullen can still do the G1 Optimus voice perfectly. And Frank Welker is how old now? It'll be a shame when Frank dies, Hollywood may need to start using actual animals for animal sounds(paying Frank Welker is cheaper).

Kain and Raziel were the furthest thing from best buds you could get. Raziel sacrificed himself into the Reaver in order to purify it and arm Kain ( the Scion of Balance ) with the weapon needed to cast down the Hylden/Elder God.
Raziel had no love for Kain, having pursued him across time in order to murder him for his betrayal. Raziel was just able to put aside his personal vendetta to prevent a greater evil from flourishing.
Current Armies:
Carcharodons, Ravenwing, Vraksian Renegade Guards, Red Corsairs, Farsight Enclave
And this was the last thing that Kain wanted, I should note. Kain was utterly horrified by Raziel's actions at the end.
But it's a bit too late to take it back now I suppose.

And Kain not killing Raziel is not a level of affection. To him, Raziel was his chance to break out of a pre-destined fate. Even though they wound up working 'together' (or as together as you can be when your soul is sucked into a sword), it was not a thing out of altruism.
